Hermann Tilke is no stranger to Malaysia, having designed the Sepang International Circuit. He is one of an exclusive few designers recognized by the FIA and specially commissioned to design Formula One tracks around world. Tilke’s brand of modern circuits stretch across Asia with the likes of Bahrain International Circuit, Shanghai International Circuit in China, Istanbul Park Racing Circuit in Turkey and Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.
With his specialized team of engineers from Tilke GmbH & Co. KG, Tilke factors the topography, wind direction, infrastructure and soil quality of the circuit’s locality before embarking on the design.
His distinctive design also promises a fast and interesting race that avoids pulling the field apart; and Fastrackcity is no exception with 15 varying corners, a main straight of about 1 km capable of hitting speeds in excess of 310km/h, and multiple track configurations to ensure enthusiasts keep coming back for more.
